Model United Nations

Head Chair, Delegate & Representative Speaker

2025 – Present

From Delegate to Head Chair

I've taken on three roles in MUN — delegate, representative speaker, and head chair — at conferences partnered with the UN Environment Programme, the Ban Ki-moon Foundation, and Seoul YMCA. Each one taught me something different about how multilateral negotiation actually works, how parliamentary procedure shapes outcomes, and how the design of institutions determines whose voice gets heard.

2nd SOLEIL Model United Nations

As Delegate of France on the United Nations Human Rights Council, I negotiated human rights frameworks in a multilateral setting. The conference ended with receiving the Republic of Korea President's Award from the National Unification Advisory Council — the highest recognition at the event.

2025 UN Youth Environmental Conference

At the 13th UN Youth Environmental Conference — co-hosted by the UN Environment Programme and EcoNow — I represented Lithuania among 300+ delegates from 19 countries. The conference focused on ending plastic pollution through mock INC-format negotiations that mirror real international treaty processes.

I was selected as the sole representative speaker out of 300+ delegates to deliver the Action Plan to high-level dignitaries, including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and senior ROK government officials. My Action Plan was the only one selected for inclusion in the Annual UN Environment Programme report and the Ban Ki-moon Foundation.

2026 UN Youth Future Summit by YMCA

I served as Head Chair of the UNHRC committee at the international summit themed "Unity to Infinity" (SDGs 3: Good Health and Well-being). Over three days, I ran committee proceedings for dozens of delegates, enforced parliamentary rules of procedure, and guided caucuses toward consensus on global health governance.

Policy that Reached Beyond the Simulation

Most MUN experiences end when the gavel falls. Mine didn't. The Action Plan I wrote at the UN Youth Environmental Conference was adopted into the UNEP annual report and the Ban Ki-moon Foundation's records — student-drafted policy that actually entered an institutional pipeline.

Moving from delegate to head chair changed how I think about institutions. Chairing a committee showed me how procedural rules — speaking time, amendment order, voting thresholds — quietly determine whose voice gets heard. That insight fed directly into my comparative research on youth legislative bodies in Curieux Review.
